Area L AHEC is pleased to provide housing for students during community-based training experiences within Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton, and Wilson counties. Ten apartments are maintained in the towns of Roanoke Rapids, Rocky Mount, Tarboro, and Wilson.

Area L AHEC provides apartment rent, utilities, and basic telephone service at no cost to the student. Each apartment is completely furnished, including cookware and a microwave oven. Students are responsible for bringing sheets (twin bed), towels, blankets, toiletries, and other expendable items. Students are also expected to help keep the apartments clean and in good condition. The apartments can accommodate up to four students at one time (two twin beds per room). As housing is scarce, we are unable to accommodate members of a student's family.
