As part of the NC AHEC Scholars Program, the Area L AHEC Scholars Program recruits, trains, and supports a diverse group of students enrolled in health professions across Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton, and Wilson counties. We seek individuals who are committed to improving health and health care, devoted to community service, interested in improving their own skills, and interested in working with other professionals in team-based care.
Selected students will receive a $1,000 stipend each year for two years once program requirements have been met.

Brave of Heart Nursing Scholarship
The Brave of Heart Nursing Scholarship was established by Brave of Heart Fund, founded by the Foundations of Cigna and New York Life and administered by E4E Relief, to assist students pursuing an Associate or Bachelor of Science degrees in nursing who clearly demonstrate intent to positively impact healthcare outcomes for the communities they will serve. Selected students will receive an award ranging between $2,500 to $10,000.

UNC Health Nash Nursing/Allied Healthcare Scholarships
UNC Health Nash is committed to providing educational opportunities to meet our community’s health care needs—which is why we are proud to offer scholarship opportunities to rising Nursing and Allied Health students followed by a two (2) year work commitment.
Selected students will receive an award ranging from $5,000 to $12,000.
