ACT Exam Prep Course
Are you taking the ACT soon? Need to brush up on your test-taking strategies? This one-day, FREE workshop will help you prepare through a virtual group session facilitated by CCE Tutoring. Each participant will receive a practice test book that will be used throughout the training. Space is limited! Open to any high school student in Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton, and Wilson County.

NC AHEC Future Health Professionals Week
NC AHEC is excited to launch this statewide initiative designed to inspire high school students and families to explore health career pathways and opportunities across North Carolina. This week will offer a mix of asynchronous resources for educators and students, statewide social media features, spotlight videos, and virtual sessions! The week will feature two webinar sessions full of information to help students succeed:
Student Webinar: On March 10th, students can attend a free student webinar! Join us for a fast-paced session featuring numerous health careers. Meet professionals, learn about pathways, and explore how you can serve rural and underserved communities. Breakouts follow the main session. Incentives are available for completing the evaluation.
Parent/Educator Webinar: On March 12th, parents or others in a position to assist students can attend a free webinar to learn about high-demand professions, community college pathways, scholarships, and NC AHEC resources that support students throughout their journey.
Online Course: Service-Learning and Health Careers
- This course exposes students to the foundational principles of service and leadership within health care, volunteering, healthcare skills, health careers, underserved populations, and legal/ethical issues in health care.

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is hosting the Pre‑Pharmacy Summit to give high school, college, and post-graduate students a hands-on look at the medication development process—from early discovery to patient care—and highlights the many roles pharmacists play in improving community health. Participants will engage in interactive learning activities, meet current PharmD students and faculty, learn how to strengthen their applications for pharmacy school, and explore career paths within pharmacy.

Brody Pathways to Health Careers Summer Residential Program
The BPHCP Summer Residential Program is a one-week camp held each June on the Brody School of Medicine campus. This immersive experience offers interactive STEM, medical, and laboratory research activities designed to give students a hands-on introduction to healthcare careers. Enrollment is open annually from March 1st to March 31st, and the program is free for selected participants. However, seats are limited to just 25 students.
