All events are open to any rising 9th-12th grade students, unless otherwise noted.

ECC is hosting its second Health Careers Academy for Edgecombe County and Nash County rising high school seniors or Early College seniors/super seniors. Students will earn CPR and Stop the Bleed certifications and will participate in healthcare-related activities and simulations. Students who attend both weeks will receive a $300 stipend. Interested in learning more about health careers? This half-day program is designed to expose educators, students, and community members to career opportunities in health care, local health profession educational programs, and resources available to aid in the pursuit of healthcare careers.

Visit the campus of Barton College for an immersive health sciences camp for students interested in pursuing a career in medical and allied health careers. Take part in hands-on lab activities, interact with healthcare professionals and Barton College students, and learn more about health sciences programs at Barton College.

The Collaborative Summer Programs

The Collaborative, a partnership between East Carolina University and NC State University, is offering several summer camps for K-12 students! Camps include Science Saturday, NC State Middle School Vet Camp, Health Science Summer Camp, Camp Finance, Math Fun Camp, and MSEN Summer STEM Program. All will be held in Rocky Mount.

This course exposes students to the foundational principles of service and leadership within health care, volunteering, healthcare skills, health careers, underserved populations, and legal/ethical issues in health care.
